Cosy Auvergne house with fireplaceThis peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing stay for all the family.
Our house is a little corner of paradise in the heart of the Cantal region, in the small town of Vic-sur-Cère. It's a very old, typically Auvergne house, renovated and modernized. We have an enclosed garden of 600m2 and a fenced garden in front of the house.
It has 4 bedrooms. Three of them have a double bed each (160x200, 160x200 and 140x200) and 1 children's bedroom with a bunk bed.
The 140 m2 house has 4 bedrooms (one of which is isolated from the others) and is divided into two sections.
The first has the main entrance via the laundry room. Upstairs you'll find the bedroom isolated from the rest of the house, with a double bed (ideal for a childless couple or a teenager).
Entering the second part of the house, you'll enter the living room, followed by the kitchen, a pantry and a toilet. Upstairs you'll find a bathroom with WC, 2 bedrooms with double beds, and a children's bedroom with a bunk bed and toys for the little ones.
An umbrella bed is located upstairs.
The largest bedroom has direct access to the garden and terrace.
In addition to the 4 bedrooms, there's a BZ on the first floor, a mattress on the floor in the children's bedroom and the sofa in the living room, which can be used as extra beds if needed. Our accommodation can therefore sleep up to 13 people. However, given that the house has only one bathroom, for everyone's comfort, it's preferable to bring a maximum of 8 or 9 people.
There's a bathroom with WC on the first floor and a WC on the ground floor next to the kitchen.
Our house is located in the hills above Vic-sur-cère, in the heart of the Cère Valley.
In summer, you can enjoy a siesta in the hammock while contemplating the landscape. Easily accessible by car (please bring chains in case of heavy snow in winter).
On foot, we're just 10 minutes from the town center with all amenities, and 5 minutes from the train station. Vic-sur-cère is a small town with many amenities: doctors, dentist, banks, supermarket, outdoor swimming pool, children's park.
In winter, we're 15/20 min from the "Le Lioran" ski resort. In summer, it's the ideal place if you like hiking or stargazing after dark.
The Vic-sur-cère swimming pool, a 10-minute walk away, has a large pool, a smaller one, a paddling pool and a slide. In the center of town, also a 10-minute walk away, you'll find a playground, mini golf, inflatables and a Rosalie rental for strolling along the Cère.
A 5-minute walk away, you'll find the La Pommeraie campsite, where you can enjoy a drink, eat local specialities and watch the owner's magic shows (open from May to the end of September).
Please note: bed linen and towels can be provided at extra cost.
